Credibility signals to verify

  • Years of operation and verifiable enterprise client references
  • GST registration and compliant invoicing capability
  • Service history documentation, not just installation records, but ongoing AMC records
  • Named point of contact for escalations (not a call centre)

Contract structure to insist on

  • Scope clarity, exactly what is and isn't covered; no vague "as required" language
  • SLA commitments in writing, response times for breakdowns, consumable delivery lead times
  • Renewal and exit terms, how equipment ownership, warranties and service records transfer if you change vendors

Red flags in vendor conversations

Be cautious of vendors who: cannot provide enterprise references on request, quote without doing a site visit, offer no AMC option after installation, or cannot produce GST-compliant documentation. A vendor who sells and disappears is not a partner, they're a supplier. Enterprise campuses need partners.
